This website is operated by CD Dress Hire. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to CD Dress Hire. CD Dress Hire offers this website, including all information, tools and Services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content. The FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section on our website is part of these Terms and Conditions, and by placing an order, you confirm you have read and accepted them. 

Please read these Terms of Service and the FAQ carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any Services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service. 

Any instructions received from you to CD Dress Hire for the hiring of a dress, or acceptance of the dress supplied by us will be considered acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

RENTAL PERIOD

The rental period begins when the dress is handed over to the delivery service (Australia Post) and ends on the rental return due date.

Dresses must be returned by Monday at 12 PM for weekend hires, and by 12 PM on the last rental day for non-weekend hires. Please provide proof of return via email or Instagram DM, such as a photo of the lodgement receipt or the dress placed in a yellow street box.

SIZING

We offer garments in various sizes. Sizing guides can be found on the brand's website, and we also recommend trying on the item at David Jones, Myer, or the brand's boutique before renting. You can also reach out via email or DM for extra help if you are unsure.

PRICE AND PAYMENT

Prices reflect our current rate as listed on our website. We reserve the right to adjust prices based on customer requirements. Prices advertised on Instagram may differ and do not constitute an offer.

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Australian Credit/Debit cards (Visa and Mastercard)

Please note that we only hire within Australia.

CLEANING FEE

An additional $30 cleaning fee will automatically be added at checkout. We handle all cleaning; customers must not attempt to clean the garment themselves.

If the dress is heavily stained (e.g., with fake tan) or excessively perfumed, we may charge an additional $30 AUD cleaning fee. In cases where the garment is damaged or unsalable due to these issues, we reserve the right to charge the customer as per our damage policy.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS BY CD DRESS HIRE

We may cancel your order due to unforeseen events, such as stock unavailability. If an item becomes unavailable, we will notify you via email or SMS. Other items in your order will still be shipped.

You will not be entitled to any compensation for loss or inconvenience resulting from cancellations. In cases where we cancel your order, a full refund will be provided.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS BY THE CUSTOMER

Hire fees are non-refundable if a booking is cancelled. 

  • All cancellations must be communicated via email at least 14 days before the rental booking date to qualify for a credit note, minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the rental period will not receive a credit note or refund.
  • A $25 cancellation fee applies to all requests for dress changes or changes to the booking date.
  • Credit notes are valid for 12 months from the cancellation date and cannot be extended or reissued if not redeemed by the expiration date.
  • To cancel a booking and request a credit note, please email us with your order details, and our Customer Support team will assist you in arranging the credit note.

NOTE: if your order has already been dispatched, no credit note or refund will be given.

RENTAL PERIOD AND LATE FEES

The rental period begins when we hand over the dress to the delivery service and continues until the dress is lodged for return.

If the dress is not returned by the due date, we will charge additional fees of $80 for each day overdue. Weekend rentals must be returned by Monday at 12 PM; otherwise, if your event falls on a weekday the dress is due the day after the event by 12PM.

If the dress is not returned within 10 days after the due date, we will consider it non-returned and charge 150% of the recommended retail price, minus any late fees already paid.

The garment must be returned from the same state it was delivered to (unless otherwise arranged).

SHIPPING POLICY

We ship via Express Post through Australia Post. Shipping includes a prepaid return bag and costs $34.50 AUD.

We ship all over Australia from Mona Vale, NSW, 2103.

We aim for delivery within 2-4 business days, depending on your location.

If you reside in a rural location, or in Western Australia, Northern Territory, or North Queensland, please allow 3-4 days for delivery.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure you place your order with sufficient time for delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to provide a safe address, we recommend shipping to secure addresses such as PO Boxes or parcel lockers.

If a parcel sent by CD Dress Hire to the customer is lost in transit by Australia Post, the customer will not be held responsible.

However, if a parcel sent back to us by the customer goes missing in transit, the customer is responsible unless the parcel was lodged in person at the post office and a lodgement receipt was obtained. If a parcel is lost that was placed in a street box, the customer is responsible for replacing the lost item.

CD Dress Hire is not liable for lost, stolen, or missing parcels at the delivery address chosen by the customer. It is the customer's responsibility to select a safe delivery location (such as a PO Box, free parcel locker, or with signature on delivery). Once the tracking indicates that the item has been delivered, left in a safe place, or collected, it is considered delivered. The customer can pursue the issue further with Australia Post directly. Please refer to the 'DAMAGES' section for more information.

DAMAGES

Inspect the dress upon delivery and notify us within four hours of any defects or damages.

Ownership of the dress remains with us, and you are responsible for its safekeeping once delivered. The customer will not attempt to clean or alter the dress at any time without consent from CD Dress Hire. If the dress is damaged or returned with signs of wear and tear, the customer will be responsible for the associated repair or alteration fees as quoted by CD Dress Hire. The customer is not permitted to arrange repairs independently. Additionally, the customer will be liable for any loss of business and any potential decrease in the item's value due to the damage incurred.

If the item is damaged in a visible area that affects the appearance and quality of the dress, and/or if the damage cannot be repaired in a way that allows us to rent the dress again, the customer will be responsible for paying 150% of the recommended retail price (RRP) or for replacing the garment within 7 days. Additionally, the customer will be liable for any loss of business resulting from the dress being unavailable for hire the following week, particularly if it was booked by another customer and cannot be provided due to the customer's actions.

If the dress is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair—regardless of whether this is due to the customer's negligence or any other reason—the customer will be responsible for paying 150% of the recommended retail price (RRP), minus any late fees already paid. Alternatively, the customer must replace the item in pristine condition within 7 days. Additionally, the customer is liable for any loss of business resulting from pre-bookings if the dress was reserved by another customer and cannot be supplied due to the customer's actions.

We recommend that clients who plan to hire items exercise caution when using fake tanning products or perfume. If a garment is stained by fake tan or damaged by perfume to the extent that it cannot be rehired, CD Dress Hire reserves the right to charge the customer 150% of the recommended retail price (RRP). The customer explicitly authorises CD Dress Hire to deduct these fees from the credit card provided at the time of the order.

We do not require customers to pay a bond when renting from CD Dress Hire. Instead, when you place an order online, you authorise us to charge your bank card in the event of loss or damage to the item.

Customers are also required to add a photo of a valid Licence or Passport as a form of security for every booking.

REFUNDS

CD Dress Hire does not offer monetary refunds. CD Dress Hire does not provide refunds on hire fees due to incorrect sizing, style concerns, postage delays, one-time promotional deals, change of mind, or booking cancellations. If your hired item arrives not as described or is faulty, please reach out to Customer Support via email within 4 hours of receipt.

STORE CREDIT

Credit notes are valid for 12 months from the cancellation date and cannot be extended or reissued if not redeemed by the expiration date. Credit notes are non-transferable and cannot be used for orders that have already been placed with a store credit. In unexpected situations, we reserve the right to cancel store credits without prior notice.

PROMOTIONAL CODE

Promotional codes are non-transferable and apply solely to the hire cost. They cannot be used for shipping or cleaning fees and may be canceled at any time without notice.

EXCLUSION FROM HIRING SERVICE

CD Dress Hire reserves the right to exclude individuals from using our service for any reason at any time. Orders placed by excluded individuals will be canceled and refunded, minus a $25 AUD cancellation fee.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

At CD Dress Hire, we want to clarify that we cannot be held responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use our website. This includes any costs related to obtaining substitute products, damages from products purchased or messages received through our site, or any unauthorised access or alteration of your data or information. This also covers any losses related to profits, use, data, or other intangible assets, even if we have been informed about the possibility of such damages.

If any law implies a term, condition, or warranty into these Terms and Conditions that cannot be excluded or modified, such term, condition, or warranty will be considered included. However, our liability for any breach will be limited, at our discretion, to one or more of the following options:

  • For breaches related to goods;
  •  Replacement of the goods or supply of equivalent goods;
  • Repair of the goods;
  • Payment for the cost of replacing the goods or acquiring equivalent goods;
  • Payment for the cost of repairing the goods;
  • For breaches related to services;
  • Supplying the services again;
  • Payment for the cost of having the services supplied again.


ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS AND TIMELINESS OF INFORMATION
We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete or current. The material on this site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete or more timely sources of information. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk.
This site may contain certain historical information. Historical information, necessarily, is not current and is provided for your reference only. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our site.

MODIFICATIONS TO THE SERVICE AND PRICES
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.

ACCURACY OF BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION
We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e‑mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information in the Service or on any related website, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law. No specified update or refresh date applied in the Service or on any related website, should be taken to indicate that all information in the Service or on any related website has been modified or updated.

These Terms of Service, the FAQ and any policies or operating rules posted by us on this site or in respect to the Service constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and governs your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).
Any ambiguities in the interpretation of these Terms of Service shall not be construed against the drafting party.

GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to our website.
